Your Role

As a Registered Nurse, you will:

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process, adhering to the highest standards of practice.
• Administer medications, collect specimens, and perform clinical treatments.
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.
• Monitor and communicate patient conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assist patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Evaluate and address the learning needs of patients and their families.
• Act as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of your patients.
• Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, and committees as needed.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to all policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Associate's degree in nursing is required.

Required Skills:

• Strong critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.

License: Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or a Compact State RN with the necessary Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.

Working Conditions

In this role, you will work scheduled shifts, including overtime as needed, and may occasionally perform duties of other nursing staff. You will also be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, so adherence to safety protocols is essential.
